Placement Officer (Workstep)

Do you have the motivation and belief in your own skills to make work a reality for others? If so, we want to offer you a challenging but rewarding and varied job with Bury EST. We’re looking for a Placement Officer to provide support for disabled jobseekers moving into employment through our Workstep programme. You will work in a small but highly motivated team to secure and maintain paid employment and help overcome barriers to work.

You will have excellent interpersonal, promotional and organisations skills and be confident about working in partnership with employers and a wide range of agencies. You should have experience of securing successful outcomes for disadvantaged people. Experience of training environments or working in a commercial setting and an insight into the difficulties faced by disadvantaged job seekers are desirable.

Hours of work are 37 per week to include occasional evening and weekend work as required. A current driving licence and access to a car is required. A car user allowance is payable.
