Zerqa Ahmad - Placement Officer
Zerqa joined our Embracing Diversity project in 2003. She has previously worked for the
Co-operative Insurance Society as a Customer Service Adviser Coach and gained lots of
experience relating to Diversity issues. Zerqa has strong links with the Asian Community
in Bury and worked on our Routeways project before joining the Workstep team.

Louise Blackmore - Placement Officer
Louise joined us in February 2007 and works on our Workstep team. Louise previously worked at O2 in Bury.

Anne Clarke - Placement Officer
Anne joined us in 1997 after working in education welfare. Anne is a qualified social
worker and has supported people with differing disabilities into employment. She now
works on our prevocational team.

Mick Dean - Placement Officer
Mick now works on the Workwise section of the team supporting people recovering from drugs misuse. He brings a broad range of commercial and private sector experience to the service and has a degree in Urban and
Cultural Studies/History.

Dennie Ford - Employment Officer
Dennie joined us in 1999 after working as a lecturer at Bury College. Dennie has worked
for years in the health & beauty retail sector and is skilled at marketing. She now leads
our prevocational team.

Bridget Fox - Placement Officer
Bridget joined us in late 2005 after moving south from Scotland where she was a customer services officer for the Scottish and Southern Energy Company. Before that she worked as a trainer with Royal Mail. Bridget is part our Workstep team.

Bev Glenholme - Placement Officer
Bev has been seconded to our team from United Response where she supported people with disabilities in residential and community settings. Bev will be working with people using daycare services and encouraging more people to get involved in employment.

Rod Goodwin - Employment Officer
Rod has many years of experience working within the Employment Service. A qualified counsellor,
Rod has pioneered our job retention services and is currently overseeing our ethnicity and drugs projects.

Leanne Gray - Placement Officer
Leanne joined us in the summer of 2005 and is on maternity leave as she gets used to being a proud mother. She has previously worked in day services; for several years supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Trish Hilton - Clerical Officer
Trish has been with us from the start and is a genius in the office. Supporting the team's
total clerical needs, Trish is the lynchpin of the team's operations and fronts our contact
with visitors and callers.

Fran Naylor-Oakes - Placement Officer
Fran has a degree in Professional Studies (Learning Difficulties) and joined us in October
2002 after working with people with disabilities in Bury and Rochdale. Fran previously led
our service for care-leavers and now works within our prevocational team. Fran's main hobby
is archaeology though her friends may be surprised at this!

Sue Pearson - Placement Officer
Sue joined us in July 2004 having spent all of her working life within Bury education service. Sue previously worked as a senior administration officer in personnel services. She now works on our pre-employment team.

Lee Salad - Employment Officer
Lee has been with Bury EST since its start. Lee managed our Learning Disability service
and has a wealth of experience in project management and vocational assessment. Lee is currently managing our Workstep service after taking a year out to travel the world.

Lynda Smethurst - Manager / Business Support Officer
Before joining Bury EST in November 2001, Lynda worked as an IT trainer and had a Quality
Assurance role. Lynda has a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies and an Advanced
Diploma in Data Processing and Management Information Systems and is a member of the CIPD.
Lynda is temporary Manager (jobshare) with responsibility for externally funded programmes and internal systems.

Helen Whittle - Placement Officer
Helen joined Bury EST in 2007 and previously worked with Real Deal in Heywood where she supported members of the local community into employment. A qualified advice and guidance worker, she will be supporting clients who are working independently on permitted work or who have progressed from Workstep.

Hilary Williams - Placement Officer
Hilary joined Bury EST at the start of 2006 and works on our Workstep team. She previously worked for a national charity providing work preparation services.
